Greeneville City Schools Shut Down Athletics Program Due To COVID-19 Outbreak
When school starts back this Friday for Greeneville City Schools, one department will not be participating. Officials with Greeneville Schools say due to an abundance of caution athletics at Greeneville High and Middle School have been shut down after some students traveled together on a chartered bus and have now tested positive for COVID-19. That news comes from Steve Starnes, Director of Greeneville City Schools. An investigation in conjunction with the local and regional health department is ongoing to complete contact tracing and determining who may have been exposed. All students who tested positive must isolate for ten days from the onset of their symptoms.
