A Knoxville, TN man is facing charges following a fatal hit and run that happened Tuesday afternoon on I-26 in Kingsport.
Kingsport Police say a member of a work crew of a mowing company in Blountville was standing in the grass median next to a parked truck on I-26 around U.S 23. Christopher Muraski, 41, was traveling in a white Ford-150 west on I-26, when a report says he veered off the left side of the road, sideswiped the work truck, and struck the work crew member, who was killed. The work crew member has been identified as Stephen Colby Blackmon, 35, of Johnson City, TN.
Officers say Muraski continued on U.S 23 in Virginia, but with the help of an eyewitness, the truck was stopped by the Weber City Police Department. Muraski was arrested and faces charges both in TN and VA. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
