Two taken to the hospital in tractor-trailer crash on I-81 Tuesday in Greene County
Two people were taken to the hospital following a tractor-trailer crash that caused lengthy delays and road closures for several hours Tuesday in Greene County.
A Tennessee Highway Patrol crash report says Dawin Reyes-Calderon, 24, of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, was traveling on Interstate 81 northbound around mile marker 48, when police say a tire malfunction caused the tractor-trailer to run off the right side of the road and overturn, coming to rest next to a tree line. The accident happened just before 3:30 p.m, and no other vehicles were involved.
Both Calderon and a passenger were taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
