Spokesperson: Four additional Kroger associates at St. of Franklin location test positive for COVID-19 over the last month
A Kroger spokesperson has confirmed four additional associates at the chain’s West State of Franklin store in Johnson City has tested positive for COVID-19.
A statement from the company reports that those positive cases have been reported throughout the last month, and Kroger said they wish those associates the best as they get well. Those cases have also resulted in the store undergoing multiple deep cleanings.
Kroger previously reported that an associate at the store tested positive for the virus back in June.
Below is the full statement sent to Supertalk from Allison McGee, Kroger Corporate Affairs Manager for the Mid-Atlantic Division:
“Over the past month, four associates at our 1805 W. State of Franklin Rd. Kroger store have tested positive for COVID-19. As a result of the positive tests, the store has undergone multiple deep cleanings, conducted by a third-party vendor. We are wishing these associates the best as they get well.
Our top priority continues to be protecting the health and safety of our associates and customers, which is why we have extensive processes and protocols in place, including emergency leave guidelines that cover paid time off for self-isolation as verified by an accredited health care professional.
On an ongoing basis, we have aggressive cleaning procedures in place at all of our stores and are continuing to adhere to guidance from local, state and federal agencies, including the CDC.”
