VSP: Two killed in six car crash on I-81 in Wythe/Pulaski County

Two people have so far been confirmed dead following a fatal six vehicle crash Wednesday evening on Interstate 81 in Southwest Virginia.

State police say the crash happened just after 5:00 p.m at the Wythe/Pulaski County line on I-81 near mile marker 87. A report states multiple vehicles, including tractor-trailers and passenger vehicles collided in the northbound lane.

No other information was released and the crash investigation remains ongoing.
