Abingdon Jury Convicts Virginia Man Of Distributing More Than 500 Grams of Methamphetamine Into Southwest Virginia
Following a three day trial, an Abingdon Virginia jury has convicted a Virginia man on federal drug and gun charges related to the defendant’s distribution of methamphetamine into Southwest Virginia. 45 year old Tracy Leonard Brown was convicted on four counts including possession with intent to distribute 500 grams of meth, possessing a firearm in a drug trafficking crime, possessing firearms after being convicted of a crime and one count of distribution of meth. Brown was arrested in July of 2019 after a high speed chase. Searches of Brown’s person and car uncovered more than two pounds of meth, two pistols, digital scales and roughly 38 hundred dollars in cash.
