Appalachian Regional Commission Awards City Of Norton Funds For Infrastructure Work
A job growth and economic opportunity project in the coalfields of southwest Virginia got a financial boost Tuesday with a 400 thousand dollar award from the Appalachian Regional Commission. The ARC grant will support ten thousand linear feet of waterline, sewer line, broadband and gas line infrastructure work at the Norton Industrial Development Authority’s Project Intersection. The money will assist with infrastructure development and prepare the site for use. The upgrades are expected to aid in recruiting businesses to the site.
