Margaret Moore, part of classic “Bonnie Lou and Buster” TV shows, dies at 93
One of East Tennessee’s familiar entertainers through the 1960s, Margaret “Bonnie Lou” Moore, has died.
Moore was first heard on Cas Walker’s radio show in the mid 1940’s and then in 1949 she married her longtime singing partner Ralph “Buster” Moore. They were known for country, bluegrass, and gospel sing-a-long television shows including the Jim Walter Homes Jubilee and the Smoky Mountain Hayride.
The couple retired in 1995—the same year Buster died of an apparent heart attack.
Bonnie Lou will be laid to rest later this week in her hometown of Morristown. Margaret Moore was 93.
