UPDATE: Elizabethton City Schools to welcome students back to classroom Oct. 5

Elizabethton City Schools will be welcoming students in grades 6-12 back to classrooms next month for four days a week following consultation from county and state health officials.

The first day of the new schedule is Oct. 5 and a statement from the system said every precaution is being taken but they cannot guarantee a risk-free environment when students return.

The change does not impact student schedules for those who remain with online instruction at home.
