Three sports betting applicants receive license from Tennessee Lottery for Nov. 1 online sports betting launch
A committee within the Tennessee Education Lottery has approved the first three licenses for sports betting operators as the state draws close to the first day of online-only sports betting.
The lottery’s sports wagering committee on Wednesday approved licenses for BetMGM, Crown TN Gaming (DraftKings), and Betfair Interactive US (FanDuel). The committee also approved its first supplier application and 25 additional vendor applications.
Two follow up meetings to take up more applications and review additional information from licensees are scheduled for Oct. 5 and Oct. 16. The Tennessee Lottery is responsible for the licensing and regulation of online sports wagering in Tennessee.
Sports betting in the Volunteer State goes live November 1.
