Tennessee State Of Emergency Remains Through October…Business Restrictions Lifted
The State of Emergency in Tennessee will remain in effect through October, with some restrictions amended, and the mask authority will also continue in Tennessee’s efforts to mitigate COVID-19. Governor Bill Lee in a press briefing on Tuesday did however announce the lifting of business restrictions.Lee says continuing the State of Emergency ensures the Volunteer state has access to additional federal funds, ensure health care capacity is stable and will lossen restrictions that would otherwise hinder response time. The State of Emergency continues for 89 counties in Tennessee. Sullivan County, with its own Health Department and five other across the state have yet to make a decision about extending the state of emergency
