Washington County, Va students returning to classroom Oct. 12 with same plan approved during last week’s BOE meeting

School leaders in Washington County, Va have amended a previously approved plan to allow students to return to in-person learning.

During Monday night’s Board of Education meeting, members voted 6-1 in favor of having students in PreK-3 grade head back to face-to-face learning four days a week along with 4-12 grade students return on a hybrid schedule starting Oct. 12.

The board approved the same plan during a meeting last week, which was set to start Oct. 26. The plan does not affect those that selected a virtual learning track this semester.
