Tennessee Set To Receive Huge Shipment Of New, Rapid COVID-19 Tests
Within the next week, the State of Tennessee is expected to receive a shipment of more than a 133 thousand Rapid Covid-19 Tests. Tests that Governor Bill Lee says will help continue the reopening of schools and lift some restrictions for nursing homes. Besides being inexpensive at about five to six dollars a piece compared to one hundred dollars for current tests, Health Commissioner Lisa Piercy says the tests have a result turnaround time of thirteen to fifteen minutes and can be administered in the field. Tennessee is expected to receive weekly shipments of the COVID-19 Rapid Tests through the end of the year.
