UPDATE: NFL postpones Titans’ season opener in Nashville due to COVID cases
The National Football League has postponed Sunday’s home-opener in Nashville for the Tennessee Titans after eight members of the organization including three players tested positive for the coronavirus.
League officials said Wednesday the pause will allow more testing to be conducted before the Titans’ offices and practice facilities reopen on Saturday. A best-case scenario would have the game with the Pittsburgh Steelers rescheduled for Monday or Tuesday.
Initial COVID testing has resulted in zero cases among members of the Minnesota Vikings—the team the Titans defeated on Sunday.
