One Killed…One Seriously Injured In Two Vehicle Crash In Russell County, Virginia

One person is dead and another in the hospital with serious injuries after a two vehicle crash Thursday morning in Russell County Virginia. According to Virginia State Police, 75 year old Ellis E. Music of Lebanon Virginia was killed when his wife, 74 year old Thelma M Music apparently pulled into the path of an oncoming pickup truck he was a passenger in. The accident occurred as Music’s F-150 pickup truck was traveling north on Route 19 when she attempted to make a left hand turn on a red light. A Ford E 350 work van was traveling south and was unable to stop and struck Music’s vehicle in the side. Ellis Music was flown to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. Thelma Music, who was not wearing a seatbelt was ejected from the vehicle and is being treated for life threatening injuries. 58 year old Mark S. Foster, the driver of the work van received minor injuries. This is an ongoing investigation conducted by Virginia State Police.
