Former boyfriend sought for kidnapping, vandalism in Greeneville
Greeneville police are searching for a suspect in a weekend incident where they said a woman was held against her will by a former boyfriend.
Warrants were secured Sunday night for Clayton Bright on charges of kidnapping, domestic assault, burglary, and vandalism, according to police information.
The victim had just returned to her home at Greeneville Terrace Apartments in the 400 block of Elk Street when Bright was reportedly laying on her couch waiting for her to return from a recent trip.
Bright and the victim scuffled inside the home before she was able to break free and unlock the door. Investigators said Bright pushed the victim through a screen door causing minor injuries. They said the suspect also chased the victim around the apartment complex but ran off when police arrived.
