University of Tennessee plans in-person graduation ceremonies next month
The University of Tennessee has announced dates for fall semester graduation next month that Chancellor Donde Plowman says will happen in-person.
The school will accommodate the chore and help with social distancing by holding three ceremonies per day for four consecutive days beginning on Nov. 19.
Current plans call for each ceremony to have 200 graduates with a limited number of guests per graduate. All attendees will be required to wear a mask.
Plowman also said that spring and summer semester graduates who were denied a formal ceremony due to the pandemic are invited to register and take part in the November events.
