TBI: AMBER Alert canceled for two missing Erwin children, father under arrest

Two children are safe and a father in Erwin is in custody after an AMBER Alert was issued by the TBI on Wednesday.

State authorities sent out an alert just before 9:00 p.m last night for missing Koraleigh Simon, 5, and Kayson Jones, 6, who were found safe shortly after the alert was issued. Erwin Police were searching for their father Jason Simon, who was wanted on kidnapping charges, but he is now in jail according to online records.

Both children may be with Jason Simon. He is wanted by the Erwin Police Department on kidnapping charges.
