Police: Three dead in apparent murder-suicide at home Saturday in Bristol

Bristol, TN Police are continuing their investigation into an apparent murder-suicide that occurred Saturday morning.

Officers were called to a home on Trammel Rd just before 7:00 a.m on a report of shots fired, and discovered Kristina Robinson, 36, and her 17-year old daughter deceased from reported gun shot wounds. Also found dead in the home was Michael Robinson, 47, Kristina’s estranged husband, who appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police.

Michael was under investigation by police and the department of children’s services for alleged child abuse, and detectives had recently secured a Grand Jury capias to charge him in the investigation. He was living in Russell County, Va at the time.

Autopsies on the bodies are being conducted at ETSU’s William L. Jenkins Forensic Center.
