TDOC to monitor and place additional restrictions on sex offenders on Halloween as part of “Operation Blackout”
Sex offenders in Tennessee will be under supervision and will face further restrictions on Halloween as part of the Tennessee Department of Correction’s Operation Blackout.
The yearly special operation is a way to keep children and families safe during the holiday event, especially with children going door-to-door for traditional trick-or-treating. Offenders must follow a list of rules on Halloween including being home by 6 p.m, no Halloween decorations at the home, and no distributing candy.
Additional information about Operation Blackout can be found by going to TDOC’s website.
