NEW: 113 jobs to be created with $7.9 million expansion at Bristol’s SPIG Industry
A company based in Washington County, Virginia has announced a multi-million dollar expansion that will create 113 new jobs.
SPIG Industry, a manufacturer of highway guardrails and accessories, will invest $7.9 million to construct three large production plants, a welding shop, and a new rail spur line at their current facility located in Bristol.
The company was formed in 2007 by brothers Joshua and Chris Harmon and it produces guardrails that work in unison with SGET end terminals. Those products are safety devices that absorb the energy produced during an automobile crash.
