Two Kingsport Residents Killed In Traffic Crash, Including Six Year Old Boy
Two Kingsport residents are dead, including a six year old boy after a single vehicle crash in Shenandoah County, Virginia. In an update from Virginia State Police, 50 year old Carmelita R. Samples was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected when the 2013 Kia Sorento ran off the side of Interstate 81 at mile marker 287 in Shenandoah County, near Culpeper Virginia. A six year old boy from Kingsport, who has not been identified was killed when he was also not wearing a seatbelt, and was ejected from a booster seat. The driver of the Kia, 31 year old Brittany A Toy of Jackson, Mississippi suffered serious injuries and was charged with reckless driving. Two other passengers, a 41 year old male, and 31 year old female suffered serious injuries. Virginia State Police’s Culpeper Division Crash Reconstruction Team is assisting with the ongoing investigaiton.
