Police say suspect in fatal West Virginia hit-and-run crash last seen traveling near Buchanan County, Virginia

The driver wanted in a fatal Thanksgiving Day hit-and-run crash in neighboring West Virginia could be in Southwest Virginia.

A 2-year-old boy was struck and killed in Bradshaw located in McDowell County and the vehicle involved was last seen traveling toward Buchanan County, Virginia, according to a sheriff’s office statement.

The vehicle was described as an older model silver SUV with front end damage. Other details of the accident were not released. West Virginia State Police are assisting in the investigation.
