Several Hawkins County Schools Moving To Virtual Format, Due To Staff Shortages
The Hawkins County School System announces Monday, it is now unable to adequately staff in class instruction at several of its schools due to COVID 19 related quarantines. In a letter to parents, the school system says it will be unable to staff classes at Bulls Gap, Cherokee High School, Church Hill Elementary, Hawkins Elementary, Joseph Rogers Primary School, Mt. Carmel Elementary and Surgoinsville Middle School. These schools will shift to a virtual instruction beginning Tuesday, December 1 and will continue through Friday December 4th.
