Kingsport police accuse couple in cigarette heist at Fort Henry convenience store

Kingsport police released photos Tuesday of two people they accuse of stealing merchandise from a convenience store in September.

Operators of the Roadrunner Market at 4222 Fort Henry Drive did not discover the theft of $1,800 of cigarettes on Sept. 26 until conducting inventory in October.

Police reported that a black female suspect distracted a store clerk while a black male went into a restricted area and stole the tobacco product then left the store in a black and gold pickup truck.
