Ten People Die On Virginia Roadways During Thanksgiving Holiday, Including Two From Kingsport

Virginia State Police say ten people lost their lives on Virginia roadways during the extended Thanksgiving Holiday period…included among the killed were two Kingsport residents, 50 year old Carlelita R. Samples and her six year old grandson , who was not properly restrained The two died in a one vehicle crash in Shenandoah County. In total, during the five day period, eight crashes occurred resulting in ten deaths. Of those crashes, one was alcohol related, four were speed and one involved a pedestrian. Eight people lost their lives the same period a year ago.
