Former SWVA state senator Bill Carrico endorses Kirk Cox for Governor of Virginia
Former Virginia State Senator Bill Carrico is taking his name out of potential Republican candidates eyeing a run at Governor of Virginia in 2021.
Republican candidate Kirk Cox published to social media Thursday that he had received the endorsement of the longtime SWVA lawmaker and retired state trooper.
Cox has served the 66th district of Virginia as a delegate since 1990 and seeks to regain control of the top position in the Commonwealth for the GOP, last occupied during the four year term of Bob McDonnell between 2010-2014.
