Hundreds submit ideas for skate and bike area to be built at Kingsport’s Brickyard Park

City recreation planners continue to gather feedback from residents concerning the features and design of a new skate park to be constructed in Kingsport.

More than 120 people submitted ideas in the first round of public input sessions held by Kingsport Parks and Rec in September. Another opportunity to offer suggestions will be held via a virtual online session scheduled for Dec. 17 from 6 to 8:15 p.m.

The Scott Adams Memorial Bike and Skate Park are being relocated from Cloud Park to Brickyard Park off Industry Drive following a land exchange agreement between Domtar and the city.
