National Guard to visit Southwest Virginia Dec. 14-19 to conduct mass COVID-19 testing
The Mount Rogers Health District reports the National Guard will be in Southwest Virginia next week to conduct mass COVID-19 test as the region continues to deal with high virus positivity rates.
Below are the dates for testing, which are free and open to the public with no appointment necessary. Testing will start at 8 a.m. each day and will continue until either all resources are used or no additional individuals want to be tested.
*Monday, 12/14, lower parking lot at Abingdon High School, 705 Thompson Drive, Abingdon
*Tuesday, 12/15, First Baptist Church, 1024 E Stuart Drive, Galax
*Wednesday, 12/16, Marion Senior High School 848 Stage St, Marion
*Thursday, 12/17, lower parking lot at Carroll County High School (below football field), 100 Cavs Lane, Hillsville
*Friday, 12/18, Cumberland Square Park parking lot, Moore Street, Bristol
*Saturday, 12/19, Smyth Hall parking lot, Wytheville Community College, 1000 E Main St, Wytheville
