Fire guts building on Gray Station Road
A fire that engulfed a building off Gray Station Road in Gray, Tennessee gutted the structure that housed several businesses.
Eyewitness accounts saw workers at a salon located on the property run from the scene and look at the roof area as they escaped the flames Wednesday afternoon just before 3:30 p.m.
SuperTalk’s Trey Adams said in his account from the scene that some adjacent structures also received some fire damage.
A total of seven departments including most of the Washington County, Tennessee units responded to the blaze along with firefighters from Johnson City, according to an official with the county’s 911 operations who said the structure was also home to the former Sittin Bull restaurant.
The fire’s black smoke plumes could be spotted for several miles during the afternoon. There were no preliminary reports of injuries.
