Virginia Reports Record high Spikes…Result of Recent Holiday Gatherings
Virginia is averaging more than 47 hundred new COVID19 cases per day…almost double the average a month ago. According to Virginia Health Department officials at that rate the Commonwealth could surpass 400 thousand total cases in five days. Health officials believe the increase is a result of the week after New Years and two weeks after Christmas holidays, which health officials had warned would lead to a grim start to 2021. Wednesday, the state reported more than 53 hundred additional infections and four out of the highest single day increases in cases occurred in the last week.
