Appalachian State announces all classes to begin online on Jan. 19
Appalachian State will delay the arrival of students on the Boone campus but still plans to begin the spring semester as scheduled next week.
The school announced that current Watauga County health data continues to forecast a surge in COVID-19 and they have decided to hold classes online for all students through Feb. 1.
App State plans to adjust rental rates for dorms and other student expenditures due to the move. School officials also said they plan to offer virus vaccine to students later in the year.
