Greeneville PD: Man shouted about bomb at U.S. Courthouse while inside Walmart
Greeneville police arrested a Chuckey, Tennessee man who initially refused to talk to officers after shouting inside a local store about a bomb planted in town.
A report from the Greeneville Police Department says Joshua Carpenter, 39, came into Walmart on East Andrew Johnson Highway just after noon Monday and began yelling about a bomb he said was located at the U.S. District Courthouse downtown.
Carpenter said he would only speak with FBI agents but then admitted that his bomb reports were false. He was charged with one count of issuing a false report.
