He’s a political newcomer, a Republican,has the ability to self fund, and his running for Virginia Governor. 54 year old Glen Youngkin, who made a fortune in private equity, plans to run for the Commonwealth’s top job. Youngkin, who has never held public office feels that could be a good thing as he says voters are sick of the current political climate, according to his campaign manager, Garrison Coward. Youngkin has no voting record to defend, has a net worth of 254 million dollars and plans to well fund his campaign. Youngkin will join two other republicans who have already announced their intentions. Delegate Kirk Cox a former speaker of the House of Delegates and Senator Amanda F. Chase, a Trump style populist who recently called on President Trump to hold on to the White House by declaring martial law plan to run in the Republican Primary.
