Dozens of new jobs, $7 million investment coming to St. Paul with Rambler Wood Products facility
A company that manufactures staves for whiskey and bourbon barrels will invest millions and generate new life into a furniture plant in St. Paul that’s been shuttered since 2003.
Rambler Wood Products announced Friday their plans to move into the former Bush Furniture facility and create 73 new jobs with $7.6 million in capital to make the plant a year-round producer of wood products that will be sold to furniture companies, pallet producers, and the mining industry.
Rambler also plans to make a $22 million investment to purchase more than 50 percent of timber grown in Virginia to help in their efforts.
The Virginia Coalfields Economic Development Authority and the Virginia Tobacco Commission both provided financial assistance to make the Rambler location a reality.
