Interior of Abingdon townhouse deemed a total loss following Thursday fire

Fire officials deemed an Abingdon townhouse a loss following a Thursday morning blaze.

The person who lived at the two-story dwelling on Jefferson Circle was not at home according to the Abingdon Fire Department who said they received the call just after 9:30.

Smoke was visible from the roof of the structure and firemen encountered heavy flames and smoke when they entered the home. No injuries were reported and the department is continuing to determine a cause.
