Proposed law would let biological fathers file injunction to stop abortion
A bill has been passed on first consideration in the Tennessee Senate that would allow the biological father of a baby to file an injunction to stop a woman from having an abortion.
Under the proposed law, a court hearing would have to take place within 14 days of the order being filed and there are no exceptions for rape or incest.
DNA testing is not required under the statute that a Tennessee Planned Parenthood spokesperson called insulting and dangerous for allowing another person to have influence over another’s health care.
