JCPD: Man shot by acquaintance, investigation ongoing

Johnson City Police are investigating a weekend shooting that left one man injured.

Police were called to a home on East Chestnut Street around midnight Saturday where they found a 31-year old man with a gunshot wound to his back. Officers found that he had been shot by a male acquaintance, and the victim was taken to the hospital before being released.

No arrests have been made in the case, and anyone with information on this incident should call the Johnson City Police Department.
