TDOT urging motorists not to travel to middle, west Tennessee due to winter weather system
Tennessee transportation officials recommend not traveling to the middle and western portions of the state through Tuesday due to a severe winter weather system passing through.
TDOT has been treating affected interstates and state highways with salt and as the winter weather moves through the state, crews will be out 24 hours per day through the event.
The weather system is expected to bring ice and heavy snow, and the National Weather Service expects this system to impact road conditions through Tuesday morning.
