TN Supreme Court: Non-jury trial in-person court proceedings can resume March 15
Restrictions on in-person court proceedings in Tennessee are set to be lifted earlier than expected.
An order issued by the Tenn. Supreme Court cited declining COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations as reason to expedite non-jury trial court proceedings to resume on March 15, rather than the original order of March 31.
Jury trials in most cases remain suspended until April, unless granted special permission to proceed by Tenn. Supreme Court Chief Justice Jeffrey Bivins.
