Virginia Governor Announces Additional Funding For General Fund Resouces

Revised budget numbers presented to the Virginia General Assembly indicate Virginia’s economy is continuing to thrive in spite of the ongoing pandemic. Virginia Governor Ralph Northam is sending a letter to legislators announcing an additional 730 million dollars over December 2020 forecasts. The additional dollars help to get the Commonwealth back to what Northam calls the most progressive budget in Virginia history as it stood before the pandemic. The funds will move forward the efforts to support residents with relief to get back on their feet, supporting public schools and giving public workers a raise.
