THP: One killed, three injured in school bus involved wreck Thursday in Greene County
One person has died and three people were injured following a three vehicle wreck involving a school bus Thursday afternoon in Greene County.
A crash report from Tennessee Highway Patrol says a school bus driven by Karen Dean, 68, of Greeneville, was turning onto Twin Barnes Rd. from W. Andrew Johnson Hwy. when Dean reportedly failed to yield to a Chevy Silverado, hitting the truck, which caused the truck to spin into a Chevy Astro van. The truck and van ran off the road then the truck rolled and landed on its top.
The driver of the van, Donald Crum, 58, of Greeneville, was killed, while the driver of the truck was not injured. Dean, along with another woman and child on the bus were all listed as injured in THP’s report.
Criminal charges and citations are pending in the case against Dean, according to THP.
