UPDATE: Sullivan County Commission approves resolution to widen road leading to new West Ridge High School

A Sullivan County road will be receiving improvements which could help traffic flow and improve safety around the soon to be open West Ridge High School.

The Sullivan County Commission approved a resolution Thursday night to improve Lynn Rd, part of which includes widening the road to 24 feet using state transportation design standards. The resolution also authorizes repaving the county portions of Lynn Rd. and Henry Harr Rd. as well as working with property owners to secure right of way and easements.

The approval of the resolution comes after the commission voted to reject the Sullivan County BOE’s proposal earlier this month to build an access road to the new high school, set to open this fall.
