HCSO: Woman accused of driving vehicle into home, says she was “just trying to remodel the house” according to police
A Kingsport woman is facing charges after authorities say she rammed her vehicle into a home.
The Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office was called to a home in Rogersville where they found a Nissan, driven by Tammy Trent, backing out of the carport connected to the home. An investigation found that Trent allegedly struck a Ford Mustang and pushed it through the home, in addition to witnesses saying Trent drove her vehicle in the residence three times.
When questioned by deputies, Trent told them she “just trying to remodel the house.” Her husband was in the house at the time of the incident, according to a police report.
Trent is charged with vandalism over $10,000 and reckless endangerment.
