Virginia Announces 179 Million Dollar COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution
Virginia’s United States Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine are announcing federal funding from the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency in excess of 179 million dollars to support COVID 19 distribution in Virginia. Even as the nation mourns 500 thousand lives lost to the COVID 19 pandemic, the need to distribute the vaccine is more urgent than ever according to both Senators. The funding will provide increased support to distribute vaccines equitably throughout the Commonwealth and will be overseen and distributed by the Virginia Department of Emergency Management.
