Appalachia man who admitted to child porn image collection to serve five years in prison
An Appalachia man who pleaded guilty to downloading sexually explicit images featuring children will spend five years in prison.
The images were found on several electronic devices in the home of Michael Lewis Varner, 33, by investigators in October 2018. Varner confessed to obtaining the illegal images, according to Commonwealth’s Attorney Chuck Slemp.
Following his release, Varner will serve 10 years of supervised probation and must register as a sex offender.
