Tennessee Gets Failing Grade On Gun Law Legislation
The State of Tennessee is failing when it comes to passing legislation protecting citizens from gun violence, according to a watchdog group that researches, drafts and defends the laws and policies that are proven to save lives from gun violence. Legal experts at Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence gives Tennessee a D for failing to pass legislation protecting Tennesseans from gun violence. The annual Gun Law Scorecard grades and ranks each state on the strength of the state’s gun laws. Tennessee currently has the 12th highest gun death rate in the country.
