Update On Lee County Hospital’s Construction Plans

Ballad Health resumed construction in 2020 on the Lee County Hospital, after suspending all capital spending and major construction projects due to COVID-19. And on Wednesday, Ballad will share with the public on the progress of the construction which will lead to the reopening of the new Lee County Community Hospitial. Ballad is offering media tours to give the community and media partners a sneak preview of how the hospital will serve Lee County. Progress on construction of the hospital includes, upgrades to its helipad, roof and framing. Despite the ramifications that COVID-19 has had on the health care industry, Ballad voted in the fall of 2020 to resume construction of the hospital and plans for reopening are scheduled for this coming summer.
