VCEDA: Sewing company to bring 100 new jobs to Buchanan County, VA
A sewing company is set to move into Buchanan County, Virginia’s industrial park building in Council as around 100 new jobs are set to head the area.
Maine Five and leaders in Buchanan County have been working on an agreement for the company to lease the building, which was finalized during Monday’s Buchanan Co. Industrial Development Authority meeting. The Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority says Maine Five will bring 100 new jobs within five years and an estimated $350,000 in private investment.
Maine Five creates medical supplies, bags, and field kits, but will expand offerings into more textile products, including nylon backpacks, uniforms, and outdoor apparel.
