Exchange Place Cancels Spring Festival For Second Year In A Row

A popular festival that ushers in the Spring season in Kingsport and is eagerly awaited by many local, amateur gardeners is canceled due to COVID-19. Despite trends that are showing the outbreak is beginning to move in the other direction, officials with the Kingsport’s Exchange Place’s Garden Fair tell us the event will not be held for the second year in a row. Last year, the event was called off following the outbreak of the pandemic, and organizers were hoping to hold the fair this spring. But after consultation with the Health Department and Department of Agriculture, the Exchange Place Steering Committee has decided to cancel this years event again.
